FAQ
It is a little challenging to dress a newborn in the wintertime, but not impossible at all. The best thing you can do is take into account the following rule: dress him up in layers.
Babies need fresh air, even when it’s cold outside and even if they are newborns. So make sure to keep him warm with plenty of layers in natural fabrics.
The first layer can be snug, a bodysuit and leggings are great for this. The second layer can also be a pair of pants and a long sleeve if it’s freezing outside. The third layer can be a jacket or an overall, mittens, a hat, and warm booties. Don’t forget about the socks and a bib.
Newborns and babies lose body heat faster than adults and older children. So make sure to dress them appropriately when you take them out.
For the inside, a bodysuit, a long sleeve, and pants are just fine. Keep the temperature around 69-71 degrees and he’ll be comfortable.
Christmas outfits don’t have a name, but all clothes that have a theme are festive. The usual colors for Christmas outfits are red, blue, green, gold or silver. These clothes have cute prints on them like the famous Rudolph the reindeer, Santa Claus, cute elves, or a snowman.
You can dress him up for family gatherings, for a special Christmas photoshoot, or just for the fun of it when you’re at home.
Babies lose a lot more body heat than adults, therefore it’s best to keep them warm during cold winter days by dressing them in layers of clothes. Usually, pediatricians recommend dressing a baby with an extra layer than what an adult would dress. So, if you are comfortable in a pair of pants and a long sleeve t-shirt, make sure your baby has a bodysuit beneath those clothes and he should be just fine.
If the temperature is lower than 20 degrees Celsius inside, we recommend putting on a pair of cotton mittens, socks, and a little beanie to make sure he is warm. Always check for breathable materials, and make sure there is enough space in his clothes for the baby to move freely.
